Tiki Bar
The Tiki Bar Streamer was the last new pattern developed by Captain Bob Wyatt of Wyatt's Flys. Bob was a NH Master Fly Tier and a great friend of our fishing family. Bob and his close personal friend Dan Simpson of Gilford NH developed this pattern together over the summer of 2023. Bob shared the original pattern description, tying instructions, the special materials he used as well as the techniques to create this fish taker with Dan. As the pattern gained significant success in catching some trophy LLS they were looking for a name. Dan has a cottage on Welch Island and built a lakeside bar where many friends relaxed and talked fishing. He calls it the "Welch island Tiki Bar"......one afternoon while talking about the streamer they got the idea to call it the Tiki Bar as the colors in the streamer resembled the colors on one of the many wooden tiki faces mounted around the bar. I can just see Bob laughing and glowing in the glory of a new streamer and sharing this special moment with a good friend. My thanks to Dan for sharing the pattern with me and all of you and encouraging me to gather the materials and start the project of a great new streamer. This streamer will produce trophies on Winni for many years to come.
